Yesterday Mere and I took her twin sister to the NC Arboretum to take her bridal portrait photos. She'll be getting married in a little over two weeks. The pictures turned out surprisingly well, considering it was very overcast and/or raining the entire time. I've only edited a few, but it seems she can't wait for me to finish all of them before she sees them. More to follow...
For those of you who don't know, Mere got a puppy from her wonderful, charming, talented husband for her birthday. His name is Otis, and we're pretty sure that he's a Beagle/Boston Terrier mix. He weighs about 3 pounds and at the time of these photos is about 7 weeks old. Pretty sure there's never been a cuter puppy anywhere, ever.
Haven't posted in a while, mostly because I've gotten lazy with this whole blog thing, and I haven't been taking as many pictures. I've gotten some new plug-ins for Photoshop and didn't have much new stuff to try them out on, so recently Mere and I went out looking for interesting things to photograph, and below is the result. We had to do a bit of trespassing to get what we were looking for, but you do what you gotta do. I was very much in the mood to shoot old rusty things. My wonderful wife couldn't wait for me to post these myself, so you may have already seen some of them on her blog.
The other day we went exploring in downtown Asheville with the camera. Asheville is a very photogenic city itself, but we found some skateboarders out in front of Pack Place and the Biltmore Corporate offices and I couldn't resist asking them if I could get some action shots of them. Here's the results of that outing.
The wedding went perfectly, and I don't think we would have done anything differently. My brother and sister in law were kind enough to play photographers with my camera and theirs, and I have to say I don't think that the photos could have come out any better had we hired a professional. I've put off editing and publishing these for a while for no other reason than that I am lazy and have had other things to do. Of the thousand or more photos that were taken, I've only done a few so far, so maybe there will be more to come. These are just some of my favorites.
