querulous \KWER-uh-luhs; -yuh\

adjective
1.
Apt to find fault; habitually complaining.
2. Expressing complaint; fretful; whining.

I'm no good with the words that try to describe an emotion or an attitude. We complain a lot about our water. Every day, there is either no water at all when you try to take a shower, or its great at first and reduces to a trickle after a minute or two. It's been going on for months. They haven't tried to fix it. Can't wait to move.

  1. Just got back from my mini vacation and had to catch up on all of the Daily Vocab photos....I think this is my favorite so far. Nicely artistic and well shot. Before reading your descriptive segment, I always try to connect the photograph with the word in my own way in order to compare outlooks/perspective. My take on the subject was a flood of tears raining down from a whining face out of frame. And while in actuality I was so far from correct, in reality perhaps I couldn't be closer to being correct. For as with beauty, reality is in the eye of the beholder.
